Would you like to gain experience in the garden while also helping your community? Be a Beardsley Volunteer! We welcome volunteers of all ages and skill levels to get involved. Beardsley also offers opportunities for internships and WorkShare CSAs.
Volunteer Hours
Note: volunteer hours change seasonally.
Fall:
October 1st - November 10th
Weekdays: 9am-12pm 1-3pm
except Wednesday and Monday mornings
Winter:
November 13th - February 23rd
by appointment only
Spring:
February 24th - May 31st
Mondays: 1pm - 3pm
Tues, Thurs, Fri: 9am - 12pm & 1pm - 3pm
No shifts on Wednesdays.
Summer:
June 1st - September 30th
Weekday Mornings 9am - 12pm
Large Groups
For large groups of five or more volunteers, please email at least a week in advance to schedule. We welcome youth and adult groups from schools, colleges, religious organizations, local businesses, and more.
We have one Saturday Workday most months. These are great for larger groups or individuals interested in volunteering but unable to visit on weekdays. Check our events page for details.
What to Bring
Volunteers should bring a water bottle. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes (no sandals) and clothes that allow you to move and get dirty. Dress for the weather and don’t forget your sunscreen.
